Our Junior Lifeguard Program Instructors

Aimee Williams

Aimee Johnson has been a lifeguard for 7 years and has certifications for CPR, EMT, and Personal Water Craft Operations.  She participated in the Imperial Beach Junior Lifeguard Program in 1996 and became a lifeguard with the City of Imperial Beach in 2002.  Aimee also has a degree in Biology from UCSD.                  

Jim Sullivan

Jim Sullivan has 26 years of experience in lifeguarding.  He has a BA from SDSU and a Masters in Education.  He has received EMT certification.  He is a full-time PE teacher for San Diego City Schools, Adjunct Faculty at Miramar College, and a seasonal Lifeguard II for the City of Imperial Beach.  He is married with 3 kids-all doing or have done JG's

Dylan Carr

Dylan was born in San Diego and days later he was introduced to the ocean and has loved it ever since. He was hired by the city of IB in 2006. The following summer of 2007 he received the lifeguard of the year award. He started working with the Junior Life guarding program in 2008 and that winter received his EMT certification. He is currently living in IB with his wonderfull one year old son Wyatt and his girlfriend Megan. He is enjoying fatherhood, and looking forward to his fourth year as a lifeguard and second year as a JG instructor.
